Easter 2018

Jesus is Risen! He is risen indeed!

We had a wonderful time of worship and fellowship over Easter 2018!

Former members came to join us, and family members of parishioners joined us from as close as the nearby side streets of Vermont, and as far away as England!

We had an abundance of delicious hot cross buns to share over our morning teas and coffees following both services, and a special treat of little easter eggs on Sunday.

Good Friday Contemplation Service at 9.30AM, March 30

The service was led by Rev Brian Westaway, and a short but meaningful Contemplation address on the Crucifixion and death of Jesus was given by Rev Peter MacPherson.

The wooden cross was decorated with a purple robe signifying royal robes, a crown of thorns that the Roman soldiers taunted Jesus with, mocking and insulting his Kingship.

A sign was hung on the cross with the words “”Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”.

Easter Sunday Celebration Service at 9.30AM Sun April 1

The service was led by Brian, and he preached on the theme of the resurrection of Jesus.

A real highlight of the service was the parishioners decorating the bare cross with beautiful flowers to signify the new life we now enjoy in Christ.
